Women And Drones has announced the launch of their new line of premium t-shirts and tank tops designed by women for women. The unique line of “Drone Like A Girl” slogan t-shirts and tanks are available for a limited time. The planned series of five different designs will roll out over the next few weeks. Each unique design will feature the “Drone Like A Girl” slogan. The t-shirts and tanks are available in multiple colors and sizes. The feminine cut of each style is designed for comfort to fit a woman’s body.
The “Drone Like A Girl” t-shirt series is intended to put a focus on the growing number of women in the UAS (unmanned aerial system) industry. When many people think of drone pilots they think of a man behind the controls. The team at WomenAndDrones.com developed the t-shirt and tank top line to support the role of Women in the UAS industry.
The initial t-shirt and tank top designs are available online through February 20, 2017.
WomenAndDrones.com is the premier site featuring women in the UAS industry. Since the launch of the platform in September 2016, women from around the globe who work in the UAS industry or who love flying drones as a hobby have been featured on the website. Interviewees include, Remote Sensing Scientist Dr. Karen Joyce, co-founder of She Flies in Australia, a multidisciplinary program that builds confidence in girls and women to engage in flying drones; Abbe Lyle who uses drones to provide a view of crime scenes; Jacquene Curlee, founder of the Kids Drone Zone; Raya Islam, who is studying mechanical engineering and is President of Girls Engineering Change Duke University Chapter; Nadhiya Govindaraj of Vufine, a wearable technology start up; Lorie Grabham, Vice President of the Saguaro Chapter of AUVSI and Lexie Janson, a drone racing pilot, is known in her home country of Poland as the First Lady of FPV (First Person View.)
