About UPS Flight Forward

Established as a UPS subsidiary in 2019, UPS Flight Forward earned the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) first Standard Part 135 certification to operate a drone airline. As a participant in the FAA-led Integration Pilot Program, UPS Flight Forward initiated the first ongoing revenue-generating drone delivery service and currently has operations in North Carolina and Florida.

Criteria for the 2021 Corporate Innovation Award:

  • Your company must have an established drone education program that is available to all employees across the company.
  • Your company must have a demonstrated company culture where female colleagues are encouraged to leverage available training and resources to become certified drone pilots. This criteria point speaks to the leader(s) of the drone education program within an organization, and how the leader(s) act as advocates/ambassadors amongst other executive leaders for the resources needed to make this program as accessible to all colleagues, and specifically female colleagues.
  • There is an inclusion of women in the total number of certified drone pilots across the organization.
  • Complete details including submission deadlines will be available 1st quarter 2021.
