Kimberly Luthi

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

The audience will gain information on ways in which courses at Embry Riddle can offer a ‘launchpad’ for women to get into aviation in general and especially for emerging aviation tech (Including drones/ UAS). I will cover the relevancy of the courses to students based in Africa and different regulatory and operational requirements.

I will also give recommendations on how Embry- Riddle helps someone start a career in aviation (from ops, to safety, security, training etc) and how further training and activities with Embry Riddle could help existing professionals boost (or elevate!) their career prospects.

We will explore the positive opportunities that simulated environments have on Learners in Uncrewed Systems Career Pathways. I will discuss best-practices to engage courses both undergrad, grad and professional education that provide access to hands-on activities through simulators that can increase connections to collaborative learning and real-world experiences.
