I just took my recurrent test on 2-19-2021. I understood it was good for 6 months due to current Covid testing rules from the FAA. Under the new rules when will I have to take the new online course?
Unless you are under 14 CFR Part 61 you could NOT have taken your recurrent. On 1/31/2021 the COVID rules for Part 107 remote pilots expired for new testing. You need to test March 1, 2021 with the new test. FAA will offer the course and the test free online.
Hi Dennis,
The online currency renewal was extended through September 30, 2020. You would have 6 months extension from completion during that time. Completion under Part 61 has a different timeline.
I am not sure how you took your recurrent test. Did you take it at a testing facility?
Here is the FAA SFAR regarding the extensions and dates. (Page 8 is where it discusses Aeronautical Knowledge Recency 107.65)
