This opening is for a Drone Engineer to contribute to system development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. In this position, you will work alongside Planck team members to rapidly iterate on new features and capabilities, perform debugging and test functions, and help drive innovation at the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Support software and test engineers in guidance, navigation, and control development Perform testing in simulation, in the indoor flight cage, and at outdoor test ranges Design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and deliver results Calibrate and configure software and hardware systems for test and delivery to customers Support the integration of embedded systems onto unmanned aircraft for customers, which may involve domestic and international travel Generate system documentation, test reports, integration guides, and user manuals Develop embedded software, including flight control code, messaging interfaces, and networking.
