Calling herself a “Student Pilot” in the aviation industry, Amanda Cuomo has brought an energetic and thriving enthusiasm to her new career. Amanda spent a large part of her adulthood homeschooling and raising her two children. After obtaining a position in Airport Management at the Williston Municipal airport, she was bit by the aviation bug. This is where her love of all things aviation began to blossom. Amanda was able to successfully help re-energize a general aviation airport into a successful aviation asset. Spearheading several fly-ins and airshows, the local aviation community came to know Amanda as a staple of the airport.
Amanda currently holds the position of Social Media and Marketing Manager for Gulfstream Media LLC. Gulfstream Media LLC is the leading provider of online training for manned and unmanned aviation testing through MzeroA.com and Remotepilot101.com. Amanda handles all platforms of social content along with marketing and planning for future company events and trade shows. Amanda currently holds a Part 107 certificate and is working on her private pilot certificate with the goal to be a certified flight instructor in 2021. “Amanda continues to be at the cutting edge of social media technology and pushes the boundaries as to what is possible in our organization”, says Jason Schappert, President of Gulfstream Media LLC.
Amanda is also proud of her relationship with Slimfast after a successful journey using their products she grew to moderate the group social media content, obtaining the brand Ambassador title with the organization. Amanda uses her spare time to mentor other women though her website and daily blogs, Amanda Lynette. “I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish as a single mother. From Drones to airplanes, aviation is really a unique family. Setting my aviation goals was exciting and I really enjoy being able to share this journey with others of accomplishing these goals. I am blessed to be in a career field that I love. I want everyone to remember that the sky is the limit, continue to reach high to achieve your goals”.
