Chicago, IL – October 1, 2020 – In efforts to acknowledge an organization dedicated to “drones for good” advocacy and outreach that also fosters a culture of female inclusiveness, Women And Drones is pleased to announce WeRobotics is recipient of the 2020 Global Ambassador Award.
The Switzerland and US based organization facilitates 28 Flying Labs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. According to WeRobotics, “The goal of Flying Labs is to accelerate the positive impact of humanitarian, health, development and environmental solutions locally. Flying Labs also expand local markets by creating new jobs and businesses that offer robotics as a service and support local ecosystems.”
WeRobotics not only exceeds Global Ambassador Award criteria in their use of drones for the good of humanity, the organization counts on a core team of females to keep their mission on track. The team Includes CEO and Co-Founder Sonja Betschart, as well as HR & Administration Head Joyce Monsees, Head of Finance Wee Kheng Yuen, Drone and Data System Specialist Klaudyna Wrochna, Flying Labs Community Coordinator Uyangaa Munkhbat and Youth Coordinator/GIS Support Amrita Lal.
